Life has been busy and a little crazy but then again who's hasn't. I wish I was a more consistent writer but I have been trying to work through some life issues that I won't be sharing on the world wide interwebs. I'm not feeling very poetic or pithy this evening so I will do bullet points of my past three weigh ins:
- Weigh in on 5/17 up 2.4
- Weigh in on 5/24 down 1.8
- Weigh in on 5/31 down .6
See that lovely pattern there. I'm trying to pass that hurdle. Exercise is great and fun for me. I am still doing the C25K program, Zumba, weights and now a core class. Tracking, however, is the bane of my existence. I am working at having a better outlook on it but it really truly is very much a struggle for me. The thought of recording every single thing I put in my mouth drives me bonkers! Oh well, I'll have to get over it some how.
Do you guys have any tips or tricks to make tracking easier or even to give me a better outlook on it?
HELP?

I use myfitnesspal.com
They have a pretty extensive database and a great support community. I have found that tracking this way has been the key factor in my weight loss so far. It really helps. Hope you will give it a try. If you do sign up my user name is sarahbear1981, feel free to add me.
*nothing tastes as good as being thin feels* That is my mantra! When I am having a rough day I remind myself of those words and I snap right back into my place. All the workout in the world won't help you lose weight if you aren't eating the right way. Although I am human too! So I do have my days.. and on the days I don't track 100% I always guzzle an extra 20-30oz of water that day. You will be back on track in no time!! Keep it up!

A loss is a loss, it's ok if the numbers aren't consistent, it just means that your body is having trouble keeping up with you.
My personal weight cycles like this, and sometimes I see unexplained gains, only to be followed by a 5 lb loss.
Sometimes it isn't easy to explain those trends, so I say just forget it and do your thing.
If you being to plateau, then maybe you can spike your calories for a couple of days (eat a handful or two of nuts for an extra 150-300 calories) and see if the increase helps you out. I know its counter intuitive, but sometimes when you exercise harder, or try to skip meals to get faster results you end up stalling and adding fuel to the fire can help it burn again.
When I get tired of tracking I go on the core plan (I think it's called filling foods or something now). When I'm done those two weeks I get sick of not eating bread and then I'm totally into tracking!
I usually use a tracker on my smartphone. There are a TON of apps for tracking and it really makes it less of a hassle!
I'm new to your blog so sorry if you've already tried this....Sparkpeople is great. It's free, lots of information and recipes too.
... some motivation....
Research has shown that keeping a food journal of everything you eat is the most successfull way to lose weight. That goes for ANY weight loss program.
Buy a pretty journal that you would love to write in. Also, track how you are feeling in the journal. I find it helpful to journal about emotions so my husband doesn't get sick of my reocurring rants and frustrations.
Can I just say it again, you folks are amazing! The support and suggestions are astounding. Thank you so much. :)
wish I had some insight as tracking is such a chore and well, I've not been very good about it. Lots of helpful comments here...
I can't always track during the point of entry, so I have been using the dietSNAPS apps on my iPhone to take pictures. Later I look at the pictures and then track. My memory is horrific so the pics help. I am probably the world's worst WW tracker...EVER, so I try o do wha eer I can. I just found out that you can set alerts for your phone to remind you to track. I just wrote a post about tracking b/c I have yet to master it. I'm at a loss. I am angry with myself b/c I know if I tracked this weight would come off. I'm a work in progress.

I have struggled with weight loss my entire life. There are so many programs out there that are total junk. After filtering through tons of unkept promises, I stumbled upon this one and it has worked AMAZINGLY for me, honestly. I tried it because I needed to get down to the actual reasons why i was unable to lose weight. i just though i would pass on the good word. i hope this helps.

When I was working on my fat loss I found a lot of interesting info on militarygradenutritionals.com/blog. Training programms, diets, and other tips for athletes as well as for people who visit gym occasionally (just like me). I've read about Multipurpose High-Potency Super Nutritional Complex, which helped me to intensify my workouts and lose my weight much faster.
