It's The Little Things

After feeling kinda low yesterday due to the incident that shall not be named (I'm looking at YOU,scale!) I decided to comfort myself with a little TLC.  Instead of stuffing my face full of any number of delicious yet utterly bad for you foods, I got my hair done.  Cut, high and low lights.... the works.  I love it!  It's very different from my usual golden blond.  I went for rich brown low lights and super duper blond (think platinum) high lights.  I wish I had a pic for you.  Maybe I can get my butt in gear and take one sometime this week to post.

What positive things do you do for yourself when you are feeling low?

When I feel super low I'll go for a walk by the lake near my house and feed the ducklings (this time of year there are TONS out). Afterwards, I'll indulge with some mint herbal tea and a super long, lavender scented bubble bath.

Congrats on not letting the lows get the best of you. Rock on!

I did the hair thing yesterday, too! It improved my mood ... to know I felt worth it. =)

Yes, the hair is always a good one. And it genuinely makes an enormous difference to how you look. Yours sounds really pretty.
Perversely, cleaning the house works for me. Maybe there's some little psychological thing going on there - throwing out some dirt and stuff clears out the mind and bad emotions a bit as well.

Great post. I DO need to think of non-food ways to reward myself!
