I Swear....I Am Still Here.

I just can't seem to get up the energy to post anything. I promise to work on it and hopefully will find the will to upload the few pictures I managed to take. I have not been diligent this past week about logging my food with photos but again I hope to get back on track with that. Plus, I NEED TO GET BACK TO THE GYM. It's a little ridiculous.

This Saturday I am throwing a baby shower for my bestest friend. If I wind up being as organized as I hope to I will have some pics of all the delicious food and cute baby things.

Ciao!

Short and Sweet, Cause I'm Tired.

Yesterday's Breakfast:

Hot lemon water with a dash of cayenne.

Newman's Almond Vanilla cereal.

Jimmy Dean maple sausage.
Went for a lovely walk after breakfast then headed to work.

Lunch Break!

Turkey and Provolone with lettuce tomato and pesto mayo on whole grain bread.

Small side of orzo salad with olives and sun dried tomatoes.

A delicious 4 berry antioxidant rich smoothie.
Finished up my work day and headed home for a veggie inspired dinner.

Mmmm.....

Campbell's V8 butternut squash soup.

Tomato, mayo, salt and pepper on toasted oatmeal nut bread.
Headed off to the gym for an amazing Zumba class. :)
Once home and showered I felt the need for chocolate (hello time of the month!) It was a little chilly today so I wanted something warm and comforting.

Perfect!

Such amazing hot chocolate.

Rich.

Decadent and Delicious!

All sipped out of my Venice hot chocolate mug. :)

Today:
For breakfast I wanted something quick and light since I was heading to the gym to try the new FLAUNT! class.

2% milk, whey vanilla protein, frozen blueberries, frozen banana and a lowfat organic blueberry yogurt.

So yummy!

I'm calling it the Blueberry Muffin.

Off to the gym for what turned out to be basically and exotic dance and strip tease workout. I felt like a prize idiot but had a blast!
Once home and showered it was time for a little more substance.

Hit the spot.

A ripe kiwi this time.

Veggie poofs. The perfect crunch.

Tuna with mayo and olives on oat/nut bread. I'm weird, I know.

Homemade soda made with orange/peach/mango juice.
Headed off for quite a few sessions at my office.

Halfway through I needed a snack.

Lots of water.

The last of my bag of sesame sticks.
Home at last, home at last jiggity jig.
Dinner couldn't come soon enough.

Yet another Chix-fil-a salad.

With a large tea ta boot.

Then a lovely end of the evening walk about town. Yawn.

Tomorrow We Can Drive Around This Town

What a crazy couple of days! This whole month of May has been nuts and not just for me but a lot of people I know. Let's get to it!

Breakfast on Friday of which half of it I managed to spill all over the place. So my actual food consumption was half of this.

Lunch at work. I went next store and got one of my favorite things in the world to eat, fish tacos. They are so fresh tasting and delicious. I also had a water.

A closer look.

From this point on the day got a little crazy. After work I ran home, took a shower and got ready to attend my brother in law's grandmother's funeral. It was really sad and beautiful she was Japanese and used to be a model. What an amazing woman! For dinner the whole family went to an Asian buffet of which I don't have a picture because I didn't feel it would be appropriate. I usually wont even walk into buffets because I have a hard time controlling my portions but I did really well and only had one small plate of food and a small dessert.

Then it was time to party down! My business partner and I had free tickets to see the Gin Blossoms and Tonic.

Here is the start of a downward spiral. :( I had three of these Blue Moons, although delicious wasn't what I had planned. Needless to say I had A LOT of fun at this concert. Everyone was in a great mood, we made some friends and the music was really fun.

Tonic

Gin Blossoms
Then Pennie and I got the great idea that we should grab another beer and really enjoy the night. My battery in my camera died after the above picture so I don't have anymore of the night but suffice it to say things went nuts! Instead of another beer I got the bright idea that I wanted a dirty martini.....which I got and which totally knocked me on my butt. Strongest one I have ever had. Then we went to another place where I ordered another Blue Moon but when it got to the table I changed my mind and decided I wanted a coke and cheese fries. :( Not the best decision.
I got into bed around 1am feeling like total but and when I woke up the next morning I felt even worse. Hardly slept a wink and had to be ready to be on call at work by 10 am. Not cool! What was cool is that I wound up not having any clients so I could recoup. It was not a good or healthy day of eating for me. All my stomach could tolerate was soda and carbs but by 9pm that night I was feeling more myself. After a good nights sleep I was VERY hungry.

I egg over easy, two pieces of ciabatta toast on with butter and raspberry jam, 3 maple sausage patties, 1 kiwi and 1 glass of diluted orange/peach/ mango juice... and water and vitamin.

This totally hit the spot.

This was a little on the sour side but still good.

Thirst quenchy goodness.

Pick me up. I wanted to try them to see what all the fuss was about. This is the smallest size they carry and it was way too sweet.

Dinner at my mom's was amazing! Shrimp, scallops, half a sweet potato with Smart Balance, a side salad with fat free honey mustard and a biscuit with SB and honey. Water to drink.

I didn't eat the whole thing. It was very filling.

By the time I got home and started to relax with some Spain... On The Road Again I was ready for a little something sweet.

I always feel a little like Charlie finding the Golden Ticket when I open these.

My portion of dark chocolate/sour cherry goodness!
Tootles!

Busy Bee

Whew! Okay, here goes. Woke up at 8am fixed this lovely digestion inducing beverage:

Hot Lemon Water with a dash of Cayenne Pepper.

More refreshing than you would think.
Then I enjoyed half a banana and went for a brisk 30 minute walk around my beautiful neighborhood. Once that was done I was well and truly hungry. Today I wanted something lighter than usual to keep my spirits light.

1 scoop of this,

one serving of this amazingly delicious low fat organic chocolate yogurt, the other half of the banana I had earlier and a handful of frozen strawberries and voila!

I call it the Chocolate Covered Strawberry!

Yummy!
Off to work I went and had a lovely time if I do say so myself and then had a lunch meeting with my business partner. We tried a new place called the University Cafe. What I thought I was ordering was a BLT with frittes but what I got was a BLT salad with a side of fries.

This was not very good. Not much flavor except for the overpowering taste of red onions.

These, however, were VERY good. Thank goodness they only gave me a small portion or that salad would never have gotten eaten.
Back to work to finish up my day. Headed over to the gym for a most excellent workout then off to World Market to spend my birthday gift card and boy did I ever!

Here are my purchases. Well over the gift card amount but well worth it. Hmmm... lots of sugar there maybe I shouldn't shop hungry. ;)
Once home, time for dinner.

Since I was so dissatisfied with my salad earlier, I decided to make my own.

Greens, tomatoes, green olives and tuna with creamy french. A piece of multi grain bread with butter and a Fuze (watermelon/strawberry). This was so delicious and filling!

Since I haven't been posting every day or every meal I thought I would give you some highlights of the new things I have been trying.

This cereal is TASTY! Oh, and super filling too.... lots of fiber and a little gas later. :) Too much info?

Especially yummy with a banana.

One of the delicious tomato sandwiches I blogged about a while back, with... you guessed it.. A BANANA.

This one had pomegranate and blueberries. A little too sweet for me.
Well that's it for today. Tomorrow's post may not happen. I have to work early, go to a funeral for my brother-in-law's grandmother. Then provided it doesn't rain I will be going to see Tonic and the Gin Blossoms. I KNOW!! Old school right?!
